What Canada's new US tariffs mean for renovation costs
Canada will match new US tariffs on six categories of American goods, including steel and appliances, starting September 8. If a renovation or a new build is on your plans, import costs on those two categories are set to rise, and retailers typically pass at least part of a tariff through to the price you pay.
